Terms of Service

Effective date: June 20, 2026

1. Agreement

By accessing or using TaanBook (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are using TaanBook on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. The Service

TaanBook is a multi-tenant appointment and scheduling management platform. We provide tools for appointment-based businesses (“businesses” or “merchants”) to manage their calendar, accept bookings, communicate with clients, and process payments. TaanBook is not a party to any appointment between a business and its clients; we are a technology platform only.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction) to create a TaanBook account. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement. Minors may use a business's public booking page only with appropriate parental or guardian consent.

4. Account registration

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at legal@taanbook.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We may suspend or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe have been compromised.

5. Plans, payments & billing

  • Free plan: Available at no charge subject to usage limits (1 business, ~50 appointments/month). Free plan features may change with reasonable notice.
  • Pro plan: Billed monthly or annually via Stripe. Prices are displayed at checkout and may be updated with 30 days' notice.
  • Payment: All payments are processed by Stripe. You authorise Stripe to charge your payment method on each renewal date. TaanBook does not store card details.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time from the Settings page. Access to Pro features continues until the end of the current billing period; we do not provide pro-rated refunds unless required by applicable law.
  • Failed payments: If a payment fails, we will attempt to retry per Stripe's dunning schedule and notify you by email. After a final failed attempt your account may be downgraded to the Free plan.
  • Taxes: Prices may be subject to applicable taxes (VAT, GST, sales tax). You are responsible for all applicable taxes not collected by TaanBook.
  • Consumer withdrawal right (EU): EU consumers have the right to withdraw from a contract within 14 days without giving reasons. By accessing Pro features immediately you acknowledge that the right of withdrawal lapses once the service has been fully performed (Directive 2011/83/EU, Art. 16.a). Refund requests for other reasons are considered case by case.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use TaanBook for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Collect or harvest personal data from TaanBook without authorisation.
  • Attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of any TaanBook system.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
  • Use the Service to send unsolicited commercial messages (spam).
  • Resell, sublicense, or otherwise exploit the Service for commercial purposes outside your own business.
  • Use the Service to process bookings for illegal goods or services.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules without prior notice.

7. Client data & data processing

When you collect personal data from your clients through TaanBook (names, emails, health information, etc.), you are the data controller and TaanBook acts as your data processor. By using TaanBook you accept the Data Processing Agreement available at legal@taanbook.com, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. You are responsible for:

  • Having an appropriate lawful basis to collect and process your clients' personal data.
  • Informing your clients about how their data is used (transparency obligations).
  • Honouring your clients' data subject rights promptly.
  • Complying with all applicable data protection laws in your jurisdiction.

8. Intellectual property

TaanBook and its licensors own all right, title, and interest in the Service, including all software, design, trademarks, and content. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for your internal business purposes.

You retain all ownership rights in the data and content you upload to TaanBook. You grant us a limited licence to process that data solely to provide the Service.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so the above exclusion may not apply to you.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TAANBOOK WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.

OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO TAANBOOK IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM OR (B) €100.

Some jurisdictions (including EU consumer law) do not allow certain liability exclusions, so the above may not apply in full where mandatory consumer protection laws apply.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless TaanBook and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claim, liability, damage, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party right, including data protection rights.

12. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement by closing the account (you) or suspending access (us). We may terminate or suspend your account immediately if you materially breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and we will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which TaanBook is incorporated, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

EU/EEA consumers: Nothing in these Terms affects your rights under mandatory EU consumer protection laws. You may also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

For disputes between businesses (B2B), you agree to attempt good-faith negotiation for at least 30 days before pursuing formal legal proceedings.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. For material changes affecting business accounts we will provide at least 14 days' advance notice by email. Continued use of the Service after notice constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service and close your account.
